When we got this drive by regular mail with little padding we were a little worried. Being able to hear pieces moving around freely within the hard drive is never a good sign. Upon opening the hard drive for inspection our fears were confirmed.
The platter had already shattered. Whether it happened prior to shipping is hard to say. One thing is certain, this one is unrecoverable.
