CBL would like to congratulate Spain on their first World Cup victory. Several of our data recovery labs around the world watched closely during the competition. Labs in participating countries like Germany, Brazil, United States, Argentina, France, England, Australia, and Japan enjoyed cheering on their teams along with our other global locations who were following the tournament just as closely. The world was captivated for 64 games over a month of soccer.

Here’s a summary of how the teams did:

  • Germany finished in third place defeating Uruguay with a score of 3-2.
  • Argentina lost to Germany in the quarterfinals 4-0.
  • Brazil lost to Netherlands 2-1 in the quarterfinals.
  • Japan, in a close match with Paraguay, lost on penalty kicks 5-3 in the second round.
  • England lost to Germany 4-1 in the second round.
  • United States lost to Ghana in the second round by the score of 2-1.
  • France and Australia did not make it out of the group stage.

We always enjoy these international sporting events across the CBL globe – and it doesn’t get much bigger than the Greatest Show on Earth that is the FIFA World Cup! Again, well done Spain and hats off to all involved in a successful South Africa 2010!
