CBL Data Recovery Technologies Inc. Launches Global Partner Program

Data Recovery Advantage Program Gives VARs, OEMs and IT providers essential service to enhance offerings to customers

ARMONK, NY / SAN DIEGO, CA — March 3, 2005 — CBL Data Recovery Technologies Inc. (www.cbldatarecovery.com), a leading international provider of computer data recovery services, has launched a global partner program aimed at giving value-added resellers (VARs), original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and information technology integrators and service providers worldwide data recovery service offerings to their customers.

The introduction of the global Data Recovery Advantage (DRA) program comes on the heels of CBL’s recent launch in Japan as well as expansion in Singapore, California and Brazil.

“Despite innovation and technological advances in data storage media, data loss is inevitable due to circumstances out of technology’s control, such as natural disaster and human error,” says CBL CEO Bill Margeson. “Businesses and enterprises already outsourcing IT services to third parties are looking to their service providers to take responsibility for contingency planning, and that includes the possibility of data loss.”

The DRA enables VARS, OEMs and IT integrators and service providers to offer a value-added service which in turn allows their customers to continue mission critical operations and business continuity in the event of a data loss, be it large or small.

CBL partners who participate in the DRA will be able to rely on using CBL’s data recovery services 24 hours a day, seven days a week. When a CBL partner has an emergency, it becomes CBL’s emergency.

CBL’s DRA program provides a number of significant benefits to its member partners:

  • Competitive Advantage: Customized client programs differentiate DRA members from the competition, providing a distinct value-add service to compliment primary services offerings.
  • Enhanced Customer Loyalty: Pointing out the advantages of a proactive data recovery “safety net” demonstrates to customers that every contingency has been accounted for when assessing a client’s unique risks and needs.
  • Additional Revenue Generation: Data recovery adds an immediate source of incremental revenue without the need for market development or capital investment.
  • Increased Customer Satisfaction: Customers appreciate having a single point of contact to not only replace or repair their data storage media, but also to provide a process to quickly attempt recovery of the more valuable asset – their data. Data loss situations can be very trying, chaotic times. Having an established process for data recovery avoids wasting time, effort and emotion on untried methods, resulting in a quicker recovery with a higher probability for success.

Companies already enjoying the benefits of DRA program include Toshiba Canada, Warranty Corporation of America and NexInnovations, Canada’s largest independent IT services provider.

“As our reliance on digital data continues to grow, both in business circles and our day-to-day activities, the impact of even a small data loss can have a ripple effect with unforeseen consequences,” adds Margeson. “This reliance, particularly in real-time transaction heavy businesses, not only creates new challenges but also opportunities for our partners to provide a valuable, essential service to their customers, thereby solidifying those relationships and generating new sources of revenue.”

A leader in its field, CBL is a multinational data recovery organization with facilities in the United States, Canada, Brazil, Barbados, England, Germany, China, Singapore, Japan and Australia. The company has been focused solely on the data recovery market for more than a decade. Through its on-going research and development efforts, CBL has created a library of proprietary processes to successfully recover data from failed hard disk drives when all other conventional methods have failed.
