Post Office Fast Tracks Data Recovery Service With Help From CBL Data Recovery Technologies

Pilot program with Singapore Post will serve as blueprint for cities across the United States

ARMONK, NY / SAN DIEGO, CA — September 22, 2004 — CBL Data Recovery Technologies Inc. (http://www.cbldatarecovery.com), a leading international provider of computer data recovery services, has partnered with Singapore Post to launch its Fast Track Data Recovery Service island-wide.

Spearheaded by CBL’s state-of-the-art lab in Singapore, the drop-off-and-pick-up data recovery service will act as a pilot project for similar services around the world, including major cities in the United States such as New York, Los Angeles and Chicago.

The service enables anyone who wishes to recover data from his or her damaged equipment the convenient option of dropping off the affected data storage media at selected post offices spanning across the island of Singapore. They can then collect it or have it delivered to back to their selected post office, their home or office once the data recovery is complete.

“Often users suffering data loss will give up on the device simply because it’s inconvenient to deliver to a data recovery firm such as CBL,” says Bill Margeson, CBL Data Recovery Technologies CEO. “The convenience of the Fast Track Recovery Service makes data recovery more feasible for a wider array of users and enterprises.”

This service will be especially useful for small and medium enterprises or individuals who need to retrieve their data within the shortest possible amount of time and at minimal hassle to get their business or personal activities back on track.

“SingPost is nimble to our customers’ needs and constantly strives to better meet these needs by delivering personalized, reliable and convenient ways to them. We recognize that there is a rising demand for data recovery services and decided to collaborate with the worldwide leader in this field,” says Mary Ong, Vice President for Business Development, Singapore Post. “The Fast Track Data Recovery Service brings us a step closer to our vision to be a leading solutions provider of all communications and distribution needs.”

The number of days and cost of recovery depends on the complexity of the problem but CBL can recover data from as short as three working days. As CBL practices a ‘No Data, No Charge’ policy, users just need to bear the costs of making use of SingPost’s delivery service.

The partnership with Singapore Post follows on the heels of the opening of CBL’s expanded facilities at The Signature, Changi Business Park.

A leader in its field, CBL is a multinational data recovery organization with facilities in the United States, Canada, Brazil, Barbados, England, Germany, China, Singapore, Japan and Australia. The company has been focused solely on the data recovery market for more than a decade. Through its on-going research and development efforts, CBL has created a library of proprietary processes to successfully recover data from failed PC hard disk drives when all other conventional methods have failed.
