CBL Data Recovery Technologies Expands Presence In The United Kingdom With A New Data Recovery Facility In London
New location in London’s West End driven by growing data recovery market and successful channel program
ARMONK, NY / SAN DIEGO, CA — July 11, 2005 — CBL Data Recovery Technologies Inc. (www.cbldatarecovery.com), a leading international provider of computer data recovery services, has opened a Service Facility in Chiswick, London in order to provide additional customer convenience. The London Service Facility complements CBL’s existing full-service laboratory in Newcastle and is a result of continuing strong market demand and the company’s excellent growth in 2004.
CBL’s expansion in the United Kingdom follows the company’s recent European opening of its Frankfurt, Germany Service Facility, in addition to the opening of similar facilities in Sydney, Australia and Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paolo, Brazil.
The new London facility includes drop-off reception and advisory service for computer users who have damaged digital storage media, including hard disk drives, magnetic tapes and flash memory cards. Customers delivering affected media to the site will receive a full report on the condition of their media and an estimated recovery cost within 24 hours.
CBL will retain its main UK lab in Newcastle, which has built an excellent reputation for developing new innovative data restoration techniques and providing recovery services for clients across the country as well as supporting CBL’s laboratories world-wide.
“The new office in London follows our expansion in Germany earlier in the year and we are currently looking at further European offices and trained staff to meet the demand,” says CBL United Kingdom Operations Manager Elaine Watson. “We have also increased our number of authorized partners from 20 in 2003 to more than 80 today. By using skilled local partners that can initially evaluate and fix simple faults, we are able to concentrate on more essential data recovery projects, enabling us to provide our services to a wider range of customers and keep our costs down.”
The main Newcastle laboratory houses state-of-the art recovery tools internally developed by CBL and clean room facilities. In addition, CBL will be able to offer remote data recovery services from Newcastle to London via its secure and encrypted Virtual Private Network.
“Although IT systems are considerably more reliable than when we first started to offer data recovery in 1993, the sheer volume of systems, especially within smaller organizations, has meant growing demand for our services,” adds Watson.
A leader in its field, CBL is a multinational data recovery organization with facilities in the United States, Canada, Brazil, Barbados, England, Germany, China, Singapore, Japan and Australia. The company has been focused solely on the data recovery market for more than a decade. Through its on-going research and development efforts, CBL has created a library of proprietary processes to successfully recover data from failed PC hard disk drives when all other conventional methods have failed.
