Oracle Chooses CBL Data Recovery As Preferred Service Provider

MARKHAM, ON, November 16, 2011 – Oracle USA, Inc. has chosen CBL Data Recovery Technologies Inc. (CBL) as its preferred data recovery service provider to Oracle staff around the world. Oracle and CBL have entered into a “Statement of Work” agreement, effective immediately. It solidifies CBL’s stature of a recognized and vetted worldwide data recovery service provider and gives the 18-year-old firm further reach into the enterprise market.

“This agreement is really a safety net for Oracle employees globally when faced with a data loss situation,” says CBL’s president Bill Margeson. “Now it’s just not up to the individual user or IT professional to find a service provider to recover their critical data. They now have a trusted partner, known to Oracle.”

Margeson adds that data loss in large organizations, such as Oracle, is more common than is known. The issue arises when dealing with organizations who have tens of thousands of users who are not always connected to the central server or backing up their information on a timely basis.

“Corporations deal with a high probability of individual data loss all the time,” explains Margeson. “There’s often a time gap between users who may have their data, perhaps stored on their local drive, and when that information gets backed up to the corporate server. This gap can be anywhere from a day to a month depending how and where users store the information. So if a data loss occurs before a scheduled upload, CBL is prepared to retrieve that lost information quickly and effectively. From a corporate IT perspective, we are here to help close that gap.”

The Oracle agreement comes on the heels of recent accreditation by the Government of Canada. “CBL is the only Canadian data recovery service provider with the necessary security clearances and protocols in place to service federal government departments,” adds Margeson. “We have a proven ability to demonstrate that sensitive information is safe and secure at any point in time during the recovery process. This advantage alone helped us land the Oracle agreement.”
