With the official release of Microsoft Windows 7 and a number of our customers and partners rushing to get it installed, the question that followed was inevitable: Can I run your data recovery software on Windows 7?

We are happy to let you know that CBL Pro-V Data Recovery Software is fully compatible with Windows 7. It can be used to recover lost, corrupted or deleted files from hard drive partitions, USB drives, and photos or video storage media on Windows 7-equipped computers.

Data recovery from your newly upgraded or implemented Windows 7 operating system couldn’t be easier. CBL remains committed to offering solutions that support customer needs. You can see Pro-V Data Recovery Software on Windows 7 for yourself in this short preview video!

Of course, the same convenient Try and Buy plan for CBL Pro-V still applies. The choice is simple: Download CBL Pro-V or CBL Pro-V (FAT) first, run it to see what is discovered and if you like what you see, activate your copy and finish the recovery.

Visit the Pro-V software page for more information and download links.

Of course, as you might notice in the video or when you try this on Windows 7 the UAC that Windows 7 has in place will stop you from seeing your drives while in Pro-V.

In order to bypass this, when you are running CBL Pro-V, right-click the icon first and select “Run as administrator”. You will then have access to the physical drives.
