Marianne Richmond, owner of Marianne Richmond Studios in Minneapolis, had almost given up on data recovery specialists when her personal computer’s hard drive failed last year. Nobody could find the only file she desperately wanted — her personal journal for the past 10 years.

Her 500-page journal was crammed with personal thoughts and history, such as fond memories about the births of her four children.

But, Richmond tried one last company — CBL Data Recovery Technologies, lured she said by CBL’s No Data, No Charge service guarantee as well as its pledge to succeed where others failed.

“Not only did I hope to get my journal back, I hoped to recover some business data,” said Richmond who runs a book and card publishing business.

After trying a few innovative methods, CBL recovery specialist Rob Dwyer emailed Richmond that he had found the elusive document, as well as all her business data.

“Whenever I’m given a recovery that is more personal in nature, I always try to keep in mind how I might feel if it were my pictures or journals,” Dwyer said, relieved that he had found the needle in the haystack.

“I was overjoyed and very grateful. If someone were to ask me where to send their crashed computers, I’d automatically refer them to CBL." said Richmond.
